The Rotary Soapbox is a new initiative which we are trying for the first time at Oxford 2022.
The focus of this fun event, which will feature on Friday and Saturday afternoon, are the many community projects which Rotary clubs in District 1090 are engaged with.
Many projects provided vital lifelines during the recent Covid pandemic, others work in one of Rotary’s seven areas of focus, both at home in the clubs’ local communities and abroad.
We are challenging clubs to present their projects on stage in just three minutes and using three slides. We can’t promise there won’t be a trap door for those speakers who stray over the allotted time.
However, this will be a fun away of showcasing much of the important work going on in the Thames Valley district, much of it unheralded, but all of it valuable in supporting communities.
