Friday night is music night at the Guildhall and we’re bringing you some exciting acts from Portsmouth for a relaxed evening of friendship and entertainment. Choose to stay after the opening conference session and enjoy the bar and a light buffet (additional cost) at the Guildhall, or head off to a restaurant or your hotel and come back to join us for the evening entertainment.
The Urban Vocal Group (UVG) is a multi-award winning charity who use singing as a gateway to further participation in music and to develop key life skills in young people aged 11-25, many of who live in disadvantaged areas or are experiencing challenging circumstances. The group deliver free workshops, weekly sessions and training opportunities to young people in the Portsmouth area, regardless of their experience, ability or personal circumstance.
Then enjoy the Royal Marines Association Band, bringing a lifetime of musical experience and a wide range of tunes to entertain you throughout the evening as you enjoy a drink and a chat with friends old and new.
Step into the unique Historic Dockyard on Saturday night for a fun, friendly and fabulous evening at Boathouse 7. Sit at your allocated table for the first two courses then take your choices from the dessert and coffee stations and choose to stay where you are or mingle with friends and our guests.
Then dance the night away as only Rotarians can! And who better to know what music gets Rotarians of all ages up and dancing than our own professional musician John ‘Dusty’ Dunsterville with his band the Wedge, featuring lead singer Martine Howard (Guys n Dolls).
